Scope the event
We talk through the venue, crowd, hours, alcohol, cash, VIPs, and what you're actually worried about — then determine the real officer count.
Write the plan
You get posts, times, responsibilities, and a short operational plan specific to that event, including how officers coordinate with your staff.
Staff and supervise
We fill posts with off-duty sworn officers, brief them before doors open, supervise through the event, and close out with you afterward.
Common Questions
Before you ask
What does this cost?
It depends on the officer count, the hours, and the date — so we quote after we've scoped the job, not before. Send us the details and you'll get a straight number.
How many officers do I need?
That's the first thing we work out with you, and the answer is sometimes fewer than you expected. Venue managers are often quoted a headcount by a staffing company that has an incentive to make it large. We don't.
How far ahead should I book?
The sooner the better, particularly for large events, holiday weekends, and anything competing with a major Louisville event date. Small jobs can often be filled on shorter notice — ask.
Are these really police officers?
Yes. Every officer we place is an active, sworn law enforcement officer working in an off-duty capacity. We are not a civilian security guard company and we don’t subcontract posts to one.
Are you part of the police department?
No. Keeling Security Consultants LLC is a private company. Officers work these jobs in an off-duty capacity, and the coverage is not an official department operation.
What area do you serve?
Louisville, KY. Staying local is deliberate — it's how we staff jobs with officers who know the ground and the people responding to it.
Do you sell cameras, alarms, or monitoring?
No, and we don't take referral money from anyone who does. If an assessment recommends equipment, that recommendation is worth exactly what it says and nothing more.
