Joe Keeling
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Detective Sergeant, LMPD · Director of Safety & Security, Hurstbourne Country Club · EMT
Nearly two decades in public safety—ambulance, patrol, investigations, and command. Joe Keeling is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Keeling Security Consultants LLC. He is a Detective Sergeant with Louisville Metro Police Department, assigned to the Third Division Criminal Investigations Unit: violent crime, property crime, and organized crews working this metro.
Since 2016 he has also been Director of Safety and Security at Hurstbourne Country Club, including planning and managing security for PGA events on those grounds. He served as a Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist in the United States Coast Guard, and spent seven years as an Emergency Medical Technician with Louisville Metro EMS.
He founded the firm so homeowners, shopkeepers, boards, and congregations could get that same read without buying a system they do not need. The practice is separate. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Louisville Metro Government, LMPD, or Louisville Metro EMS.
Engagements are scheduled around official duties. If a request conflicts with those duties, it is declined.

Why the line with the department matters.
Clients sometimes want a badge on the walkthrough. That is not what this is. A consult is private counsel: you hired a practitioner with investigative experience in this city, not an official unit. Reports stay with you. They are not police records.
If a crime is in progress, call 911. If you need a report taken, call LMPD. If you want someone to walk the property, write a memo, and brief the people who live or work there—that is the firm.
