Can you staff an event with officers?
Yes. We coordinate off-duty sworn law enforcement officers for weddings, fundraisers, festivals, private parties, corporate gatherings, facilities, and large-scale sporting events. You get posts, times, and a short plan for that night. It is not a department detail. Ask with the date, venue, and expected crowd—weekends book early.
Are you the police?
No. Joe Keeling is a Detective Sergeant with Louisville Metro Police Department. Keeling Security Consultants LLC is a separate, independent practice. Officer coverage, and any consulting, is private work—not police service, not an official LMPD visit, and not a substitute for calling 911.
Do you install cameras or alarms?
No. We do not sell, install, or monitor equipment, and we do not take referral fees. If you also want a property walk or a memo, ask—we still do that work.
Where do you work?
Jefferson County and Louisville Metro. Most details are scheduled around existing commitments, so we plan dates carefully.
What does a typical engagement look like?
For an event or facility: the date, the posts, and off-duty sworn officers on site. Property walks and written memos are available if you need them. We confirm scope and fee in writing before we start.
Can you testify or review a case?
Investigative and expert work is scoped separately and only when it does not conflict with official duties. Ask in the form and we will tell you quickly whether it is possible.
